Abstract

DeepLife has been selected as one of the 28 new laureates of the France 2030 “Pionniers de l’IA” call, announced at VivaTech and operated by Bpifrance.

TOur selected project, ONCODECIDE, focuses on head and neck cancer. Despite advances in treatment, nearly 3 out of 4 oral cancer patients are diagnosed beyond the early stage. As a result, survival drops from almost 90% for localized tumors to nearly one-third for metastatic disease, and the risk of relapse remains high.

More precise biological understanding can support earlier detection and better treatment decisions.

ONCODECIDE will build on DeepLife’s existing collaboration with Centre Léon Bérard and Prof. Pierre Saintigny around the Oral Mucosa Cell Atlas. This atlas maps cellular changes from healthy oral tissue to oral cancer, creating a foundation for studying disease progression at cellular resolution.

With the support of France 2030, DeepLife will advance prospective clinical studies with Centre Léon Bérard and Prof. Saintigny, while generating high-quality omics data to support the development of more personalized approaches to oral cancer.

“ONCODECIDE reflects the direction we believe precision medicine needs to take: closer to cellular biology, closer to patient data, and closer to clinically relevant decision-making,” said Jonathan Baptista, CEO and co-founder of DeepLife. “We are grateful for the support from France 2030 and Bpifrance, and for the continued collaboration with Centre Léon Bérard and Prof. Pierre Saintigny.”

The “Pionniers de l’IA” programme is part of France 2030 and supports ambitious AI projects with strong technological and societal potential. For DeepLife, this recognition reinforces the role of cellular digital twins in translating complex biological data into more interpretable disease models and patient-relevant oncology research.
